It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 1.1.4 has been released on 2015-02-04. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. This APP has a ton of potential but DO NOT rely on it as it is You can literally scan the same strip over and over and get different reads Im talking seconds in between today it said my Free Chlorine was at 15pmm and a few seconds later 1pmm Its hard to get a read too Great ideapoor quality
I love the idea of this app and will continue to use it in the hopes that the developers will continue to improve it Currently it is pretty close to my own readings I always take at least one other sample from a different brand strip to compare it with The scanner works well most of the time I have only had trouble getting it to scan on 2 occasions and that could have been due to fog on the camera lens The recommendations are generally close although a little high on the chemical amounts What I would really like to see implemented is the ability to store the settings for a pool and a spa and to be able to track the scans and recommendations over time Waiting on Development
Cons I did run into an issue while trying to scan the stripe so I entered the results in manually Scrolling is difficult when I expanded the results page Videos did not have sound Pros easy sign up intuitive UI liked the recommendations page and the ability to email results Good app
I was excited about this app In fact we bought all of our chemicals from Clorox because they had the best application for maintenance Then they had an update I can no longer use the APP for my spa It is useless for anything under 1000 gallons I went to customer service and they directed me to the website where I can manually enter my data I paid for smart strips that my phone can read why should I have to manually enter data now Additionally the website does not even allow me to select the chemicals I have been using and the app recommended I have no idea how to convert between their different products I am not sure who generated the update but I hope it is fixed soon Otherwise Ill have some partially used Clorox chemicals to sell and Ill be buying HTC Latest Update ruined a good thing
As a pool virgin and someone who lives out in the country far away from our pool store this app has been Heaven sent I have been able to adjust my pool water in a matter of a couple days by filling the recommendations given by this app Prior to using this I spent over a month trying to balance my saltwater pool with no success I definitely recommend this to anyone who needs pool chemistry help Very Helpful
I have never written a review before but Im so frustrated with this one I thought I would take the time It is junk Expected more from a name like Clorox Garbage
Really hard to get phone to scan as you have to match up size of boxes and direction Need to make a template for your phone and thats too much work so app not worthless to me Too hard to scan
This app is a waste of time I cant create an account at all It wont move past the pool info screen App doesnt work
I was never able to read a test strip on my 5S Great idea just does not work
Bought the Clorox test strips because it came with this app Thought it could be neat to scan the strips instead of me sometimes having to guess at the color The scanning part of the app does not seem to work 1 The guide that pops up on the screen does not line up with the squares on the strip 2 It keeps saying too blurry despite it being crystal clear on the camera screen If the app is the deciding factor for purchase dont waste your time Does not work well
This does more harm than good After being able to get the scan feature to work I discovered that the results were never the same I scanned the same strip three times in less than a minute and got drastically different results One said my alkalinity was very low and the next said it was very high This ap cant be trusted Totally unreliable
From what I gather its an ok app Need to option to select an spahot tub Not just pools I have a hot tub but I can not use the app to do anything Update needed Ok app
Im not sure how this is suppose to work Looks like you need special equipment to read strips I thought this app was for home use but appears to be for pool store readings Could someone please insert better instructions into this APP App wanted access to my camera so I was thinking it would work at home IDK Not sure about this
Not quite as bad as most think but not good The dumbest thing is that the scan results are not in the same order as the strip or the visual guide Thats beyond idiotic But more basic is that the scan results dont match my and my sons eyes We scan in full sunlight just as recommended And even worse the recommendations are laughably wrong Apparently I need 18 pounds of shock in a pool that is crystal clear Ill actually put in 3 andnot kiddingmore than 376 lbs of hardener I might put in 5 Clearly the whole thing was thrown together without any beta testing or common sense checks The scanning is tricky at first and the 15second time limit is hard to achieve One would think that Clorox has the resources to do better Pretty poor
History is terrible Past results do come up or if they do then they go away Going back to same day results is impossible Have to use another strip and retest to get itgreat way to sell more strips The strip scanning is poor at best and very tedious Why did the ruin Aqua Chem Im gonna look for something else Ive been using for 2 months have called for supportalso useless App needs improvement
The scanning feature is very difficult to use and is not consistent They have a great line of pool products but this app is worthless Doesnt work
Worst app ever I have a new iPhone and it cant focus Never was able to read strip I read reviews but gave it a shot Nothing better than old fashioned way Doesnt work dont waste time
What a piece of garbage The camera is extremely difficult to line up before the 15 secs are up It reminds me of a similar product that was out last year Wonder if Clorox bought them If so that app was horrible as well Accuracy was lacking How can anyone achieve a perfect light source for the camera to accurately measure the color stick Glad I didnt spend money on this It was a free sample from walMart and saved me the aggravation of paying for a horrible product Garbage

It will not even let me set up an account Also the measurements are only in feet and not inches I have a 30 deep Intex pool and cannot even put in my correct measurements much less actually set up an account After I enter all my information to set up a new account it takes me to a login page I enter my information and it says it is invalid I used the correct 8 digits for a password and have tried on the app and website It just does not work at all As bad as this is I wonder if their test strips and pool chemicals are even worth buyingprobably not Awful Dont waste your time
The scanning feature doesnt work wish it did Somehow the zoom is off Entering the results manually is okay would prefer to use the scan Overall its pretty good as it does suggest what to do to correct the chemical balance in my pool Pretty Good
What a great idea and what a disaster implementation When using the camera to scan the test strip you never know if the readings are accurate or not Mine bounce all over the place even though Im following the directions carefully and to the letter When comparing the results from this app versus two other test systems the clorox test results vary all over the place Maybe the next version will resolve the repeatability and accuracy of the process to determine the test results Dont bother until the app works
This app is such a POS Ive scanned 4x tonight and it says the scan is read then kicks me back to the home screen Sooooo glad I wasted on something that is completely useless to me Dont waste your money
It seems okay so far just installed it so I am still seeing all of the features Really not that bad
I really like the scanner once I finally got down the right distance to take it from and especially love the recommendations WITH measurements of products needed I would never have that out as my pool is only 3000 gallons and all the products are based on 10000 gallon pools Scanner works for me

Ive only used the scan method twice so far but it worked perfectly both times Each time it yielded different results which seems to be accurate being I adjusted the pool chemical based on the initial water test So far so goodwish they had an app for checking water toxicity in aquariums
The app doesnt support spasdont have a pool Took forever to set up a profilehad to set up a fake pool to get a spa registered then delete the pool Trouble is the app reads everything as a pool and has been recommending POOL chemicals 125 later I log onto the website manually enter results for the spaand its now recommended DIFFERENT products for the spa You cant return chemicals Sick of this money pit Would be a great app if it actually would work for what you register to test for Wish Id never gone this route Na
The app is good and it is working fine To get 5 stars I would suggest include more details on what to do to improve each indicator Sometimes it looks we are going in circles then a better report would help Simplifies maintenance

App is a piece of junk After reading reviews thought I would still give it a try Clorox has missed the boat on this one Just by the regular test strips from some other company that are much cheaper This app does not work at all Tried taking picture five or six times and it would not take Kept taking me to the error page and said picture was blurry Thats because the scanner would not focus I have an I phone 5s and have never had scanning problems until this app Save your money and time They really need to do some work Junk junk junk
Saw these strips at Lowes and thought this would be great As i can never really tell what color the water is or what color is on the strips so often they dont look like the examples Where this fails is despite about 25 tries I only got it to accept one I cant seem to get the boxes on the stick to line up with the boxes on the strip They dont seem to have the size and spacing down Awesome idea and i would love to use it if you can get it to work consistently for me I have an iPhone 6 so it shouldnt be related to a hardware issue Ill even stick to buying just your chemicals if you get it working right Great idea fails in execution
Just had our pool resurfaced Picked up some of the Clorox testing tattoos and thought this would be a good way to track my water quality As if the mobile site wasnt bad enough the app wont even let me log in Says my username and password are wrong disappointed Updated made a new account using the app When I test the water it wont scan and recognize the test strip Keeps giving an error message No good
Love it with new update Its a fantastic idea When we first got it early in the summer 2015 the scanner didnt work well It was so frustrating trying again and again and again But with the new update it works almost every single time The only issue I have is that sometimes the readings are different depending on where I test the water in our pool But I have found that to be true with other test strips as well New update fixed major problem Now it works great
1 No manual entry 2 Poor strip recognition 3 Place strip on gray card for best results Who keeps gray cards laying around I was hoping for a simple way to enter my ABCs from my strips And then it tell me how much product to add The website does this BUT the mobile version is hit or miss The CONVENIENCE would be to test your water scanenter your results and add your chemicals Three steps and done This app has potential but it NEEDS someone to actually implement somewhat basic changes Camera should be an OPTION over manual entry and not an all or nothing item Missed the mark
But it doesnt scan Have iPhone 5 which according to info should work but Scan feature never comes up With option of Scan or Manuel input if you hit Scan nothing happens except 3 pages showing how the scan process works Taking kit back to Lowes Would be nice

Using the new test strips with 6 pads results are NOT reliable Ran 3 tests with the same strip in one minute and got three drastically varying results App wont save results in history Used pH down per app instructions only to have the test the next day tell me the pH was even higher than before without adding anything else WORTHLESS
App is informative and helpful I like the email recommendationshopping list feature You need to use that feature to make sure your recommendation is stored in history Getting scanned to work takes patience first time and then its easier as you get hang of it One issue Ive noticed is the need to take more than 1 test since a results vary widely Ive been taking 3 at a time and favoring the 2 closest to one another The results analysis needs some further rd Overall good
Even though you give the app access to the camera it can no see the test strip Im using an iPad 4 This was never a problem with Dip Scan Swim and that app lets you see the image of the strip you are scanning Also the packaging says nothing about having to go to a kiosk to use it It says to use the gray card on the back of the test card but the camera cant see it App is junk other than to sell Clorox products Stick with Dip Scan Swim
