Flight Update Pro - Live Flight Status, Alerts + Trip Sync

Ive not found a more comprehensive app in which I can warehouse all of my travel details with portability to my calendar In conjunction with another app I have visibility to any changes in flight details and alternative choices Cant and wont do nothin without this app                 A worthy app for the weary traveler

I have used this app since it first came out and I LOVE IT I have purchased as gifts for family and friends Very accurate and usually more timely than the airline sites I really like how it links to TripIt It is very user friendly When I have had issues and I have had several over the years Scott has responded quickly and has patiently walked me through procedures to resolve my problem I nver write reviews but because of the exceptional app and Scotts resolve to assist I made an exception                 Cant Be Without It

386 trips later I am still using exclusively Flight Update exclusively and it has always been a faithful travel companion Now off only the actual flight updates would be downloaded quicker I would give it 6 stars              Go for it

I am using the app since practically it came out and always was happy Recently I have a lot of issues wit the app crashing when not connected to the internet making it impossible to view my flight information I have an iPhone 5              Good app but crashes recently

The information is all there However the logic in implementing a flight orders on atrocious If you enter a flight by number and there are two legs of the flight prior to yours you have to find your way through the maze of eliminating the prior two legs before you get to your own flight which is the third leg The flight data is excellent Therefore I give it three stars But the lack of thought that went into creating your itinerary is glaring So make that 2 12 stars           Good but needs work

Best air travel app period Absolutely nothing beats what this app does for air travelers I jumped to Samsung s4 and couldnt get this app so I went back to iPhone and this app was at the top of my reasons why LOVE IT                 Bravo

Not easy to input flights no built in logic to flip selected cities for return flight very late updates to gates delays etc honestly there is better functionality in free versions        Bad app

I was using this app since its been released and find it useful especially sync with TripIt There a are problems like delayed updates of flight information the inability to enter into InstaFlight flights that have departed yesterday which is important for overnight flights and that when the flight is complete the app forgets all details rather keeps them for further reference So when I received the invitation to rate it I was prepared to give it four stars But then when Ive opened the App Store somebody already wrote a draft for me praising the app This is annoying to say the least and is cheating the App Store to misrepresent what actual customers think So now I am giving it only three stars           OK app could be improved

I am at SJU waiting for return flight 1348 to DCA scheduled to depart at 705 pm fm Gate A7 At 619pm we are instructed to relocate to gate 3 At 635pm we are told flight is schedule to land at 647pm There is likely a delay App was updated at 640pm telling of gate change Will ask for refund Will update with their response           Not so fast

There was a storm in Dallas and Flight Update Pro kept telling me the flight is scheduled instead of showing me that my flight has been delayed by an hour I need my 10 bucks back seriously Its worthless and misleading instead     Worthless

I was just at the airport and this app was more accurate than the arrival departure computers at the airport I watched my sisters plane land before the airport computer displayed her landing 12hr before it landed altitude speed gate all It also saved me from missing my connecting flight in Atlanta This app is crazy accurate Fortunately I bought it when it was cheaper Update 1212014 I have had this flight app since day one This app has saved me from boarding issues including the flight out today I have never had any issues This app has only gotten better The other apps are over under kill Still loving flight update after all these years Thanks Flight staff                 The best flight app ever

This app is really quite good but suffers from full out excellence The information in recent years has been less reliable ex The flight was estimated to have left xx minutes ago when actually its still waiting the leave the gate Delays also used to be much more informative and reliable and quicker This is the best app of its kind but it leaves the user with room for doubt I would encourage developers to make it great again Id love to write a one word review about its excellence Do better please              Why Settle

I have been using this app for years and loved it A few months ago I had a sync issue with TripitI sent an email to customer service and the attention I got to resolve my issue is unprecedented Not only the app is outstanding but when you get the kind of support I got from Scott app author you know that your investment is well worth it                 Bugs Fixed

I have used the app for a number of years and travel frequently I have had times like when I was returning from Tokyo and was changing planes in San Francisco when the app alerted me that my connecting flight had been canceled before it was announced by the airline Gave me a chance to make plans The app apparently uses the FAA info I would definitely get it again                 Long time user and still happy

After receiving a notice from Flight Track that Qantas flight QF 95 from Melbourne to Los Angeles was canceled on August 12 2015 I spent 2 12 hours on the phone trying to find out if this flight was canceled Qantas Airlines informed me that the flight is not canceled and is on timethank you so much FlightTrack all almost missed the flight     Cancellation of flight

Ive used this app for 5 years having upgraded to the paid pro version because I liked it so much However I increasingly find that the information displayed is inaccurate especially when compared to data available to me to me from Flight Aware which is free or from airline websites For example right now looking at Delta flight 221 it shows that flight en route and due to arrive in Atlanta at 952 PM In fact that flight has been significantly delayed and is not arriving until almost midnight It was easy to find this current status from the other sources I mentioned above Even the option of showing the incoming to your gate info I once greatly valued rarely works anymore So time to free up some space in my phone     Enough is enough

This app is the best yet Thank you Good TripIt works great InstaFlight is a godsend Interface is relatively clean intuitive this is the fifth such paid app most of which boast truly terribleclunky interfaces The Trips travel summary is good flow info is logical flight layover durations are shown timezone info is clear essential the doneometer for flights enroute is wonderful it should also show time remaining enroute Calendar interactions with iOSs calendar are provided for via mirroring not neededtested Needs The most needed feature is airportgate info It was unbelievable that a Pro fullpricepremium app didnt have this critical info hidden under some obscure pagetabbutton Even if only to link to a Wiki page for the respective airport while completing the development effort for rendering the more complete info page that this app deserves Those lovely departure and arrival info tiles have empty and lonely whitespace in the lower right corners ripe for some terminalgate info or default icon that can be linked to a terminal gate map info page The main Travel trip summary screen is a good start list of flights connections etc but it sorely needs a summaryarea for the whole of the trip Missing are a total flight time of all legs total trip time legs layovers this should include updated totaltimesscheduleddeltas based upon delays when any leglayover for the trip is enroute The departure arrival tiles for each leg are visually pleasingclear and informative but a great opportunity to link to useful information is lost as only the weather and some popup for user entered airport info is interactive The weather icons are well intended but useless on the white background they need to be highcontractmonochrome icons rainwindsnowsunclouds the current icon photos are washed out against iOSs light backgrounds and therefore unintelligible and serve only as a weird button to force the detailed weather to be downloaded and rerendered as a unique page The weather detail page is a sad add on It is weak lost and unintuitive It shows two airport names halts then a popup comes up informing the the weather data is being retrieved then a static table of weak weather data is dumped back on the original detail page There are so many existing good examples on how to display weather data inapp this can easily be better Interface its an older app no doubt Much of the interface depends on the older iOS style button based navigation but the newer swipe is in some places Its so trendy now its been renamed Swype This heterogenous implementation can be mildly confusing as intuition has reached a fork in the interaction road Pick one use it cleanly across the board Just because Swype is neat it may not be neededuseful in a well thought out app like this one The garbagecan Info Options socialmediaicon area is weird a bit of a kludge Just put a new tile named Summary under the Arrival tile put some more of the flight time summary infostats data and when the user clicks it popup that Flight Info page nice to have that user data there Better yet get rid of the Options menu this way this could all be quickly accessed per flightleg              Useful with opportunity for greatness

I bought this app specifically because I had a trip planned and a snowstorm was heading for my destination airport I wanted an alert in case my plane was delayed or cancelled Six hours before my departure sure enough my flight was cancelled But Flight Update Pro NEVER sent an alert and when I checked the status manually it continued to say Scheduled and On Time right up until the original departure time If my husband hadnt called me from the office I would have believed that the flight was still going to happen I am furious especially since I paid almost 10 for this app just to have the reliability it advertised I want my money back I will never trust this app     Alerts arent reliable Dont trust this app

Basics work fine but when a flight is delayed it doesnt show up in a timely manner to help you out Not all flight show up either when doing a quick flight Needs a lot of improvement I think this app is getting worse NOT RELIABLE AT ALL     Not very accurate

Nice to have all my travel in one easy to use app Ive noticed a couple glitches where rental car and hotel info doesnt make it into the app but all in all much better that paper itineraries or multiple websitesapps to track travel Their updates typical come across at the same time as the airport or even a little sooner              Decent app

For this and other flight apps would like it to indicate both when the flight lands on the ground and when it gets to the gate Once it gave me an incorrect baggage carousel number other times havent seen it shown In the rare case that a flight is diverted did not tell me where it went instead and when it finally completed the trip This is supposed to update automatically May have when I first got it but doesnt seem to anymore I may be wrong but notifications seem sporadic Maps of terminals would be helpful especially where each airline is in shared terminals There may be other issues but thats what I can think of at the moment Thanks Burt Ray Simpson              OK but there are some things that would make it even better

I absolutely love Flight Update I recommend it to my friends all the time Its an app that keeps me organized and informed with the travels of my family and friends Love it Excited for future updates Fantabulous job team Still one of my favorite apps but now Im not being notified as requested through the apps settings                 One of My Top 5 Apps

Is anyone else having this problem I loved this App for tracking travel but it will no longer upload to TripIt Im wondering is anyone else is having this problem I wonder if after a while developers move on Id give more stars if it would work           Was a good App but cant upload to TripIt

I travel extensively both domestically and internationally This app is literally indispensable It works flawlessly and now that I have learned exactly how to keep my iPhone and iPad in sycn I have absolutely no reservation about recommending Flight Update Pro For the record I did contact Silverware Support with some issues on how to sync and I received an immediate response Great program great support This is a quick update to my earlier review of last year The program just keeps getting better My wife and I made a large number of international and domestic flights last year and Flight Update was outstanding After our upgrade to new iPhones and iPads however I encounted a problem being able to sync all our devices Once again I wrote to Scott the author of the app and once again received an immediate reply He correctly diagnosed my problem and now everything is once again working flawlessly I can still highly recommend this program                 About As Good As It Getsstill

After paying almost 10 the App didnt find Aeromexico flight 657     Did not find Aeromexico flights

I find the app difficult to use Entering the info should be easier        Not user friendly

However they need to correct flight information in and out of Cancun Its Eastern time                 Excellent
