Promised a certain turnaround then sends an email there will be a delay then I dont hear from them ever againnothing Later there was an update that promised quick 24 hour turnaround so I sent a different inquiry hoping for results this time NOPE several days later still nothing They probably want me to pay the 499 they added in the latest update to get an expert analysis which I refuse are you kidding me Dont waste your time with this app Im sorry I did I DELETED this app     APP IS CRAPP

When I first used this app I was able to receive expert answers via email and app within 2448 hours So simple Now there are five steps to finally get the option of asking an expert and for 499 Ok back to google        Wait what I have to pay now

Waiting for a callback from my local botanic garden sent them 3 pictures over a week ago I came across this app Just took a picture with this app and got an instantaneous correct response Cross checked with Google Wikipedia for details Its an obscure weedherb Terrific Im going to recommend this app to all                 Amazing

Sent in my pic three weeks ago got an email said 24 hours 24 hours went by then they said 72 hours Well that passed and they sent me a we want to apologize for not helping you when it was free the good news is now you can buy an answer     Was great then got greedy

This used to be a great app Turnaround for plant IDs was 24 hours Now they take weeks to respond and have grown too big for their own good Just a waste of time     Used to be good

This app doesnt work I get an error message when I try to send a picture and description for help and its not identifying the pictures accurately     Bad App

So I first tried to use the app over two weeks ago I send my photos and received notice that I would hear back in 24 After 24 hours I received another email stating I would hear back in 78 hours Well I never heard back with answers about the plants After two weeks I did receive an apology email with a plug to try the new and improved app I tried it instead of sending your photos to an expert you have to match them to pictures of other plants that the app suggest looks similar I could find any matches Sadly they werent even close Then I tried the for expect advice option and they wanted me to pay This was very same thing two weeks ago I could do for free and the site never followed through very frustrating and I think its a scam     Frustrating and no helpful

I dont like to leave bad reviews unfortunately this new app is so insulting I have to comment The old was slightly flawed and a bit expensive but I was satisfied yesthe 24 hour feature didnt work but in a few days to a week I received my answer So it was worth the money spent But now this is a completely new app Not an updated version of the old one This is not what I agreed to buy Not only is it unable to identify a single plant I have asked about it wants me to pay more money for the chance of a correct answer Very dissatisfied     So dissatisfied I write my first review

Worked well for me I guess the plants I tried it on mightve had more distinctive flowers and foliage than others but it got them all right It never used to work when I first downloaded it but Im glad I gave it another try after the updates                 Good

5 a question First they made money through advertising and suggesting certain products now they are asking 5 a question I wouldnt pay 1 a question     Crap

Took a picture of a plant well The app gave me several selections to pick from and they werent even in the same category of plants Im an avid gardener for numerous years this app is not even close to identifying plants properly     Not impressed

Ive been using this app garden compass for a couple years now and it was spectacular and I always wondered how they could keep it free At first I thought it was 5 for unlimited answers but it turns out it 5 per inquiry Sure its slightly more convenient and slightly quicker than emailing an extension agent but not for 5 a question I would gladly pay as much as 10 for this app but for the amount I was using it I would be spending 100month or more Very very disappointed Update I decided to try it out and paid 5 for a plant ID and 5 for pest ID 72 hours later I get an email saying there is this great new update that I need to download Well the app was already updated they still charged me 10 and never responded to my inquiries I attempted 3 times to contact them for a refund or an answer and was ignored I have now contacted iTunes and must wait 710 days for my refund     10 paid no response no refund

There is not actually anyone who responds to emails and answers questions about plants or anything I dont know what happens to your email once its verified but your better off staying away     Not what it says

Tried this on common plants such as mums Wouldnt you know it my flowering mums are really boxwood     Not one right

I have had this app for a while but this is the first time I have used it I will be using it to identify plants for Yard of the Week in our community I am very impressed with the speed of your response which will become important for press deadlines                 Very Nice

Updated 2nd Version 2 Stars Uses justvisualcom computer generated to identify plantsflowers in this new version It shows you pictures of variations of what the plantflower is and then you would have to guess and choose the picture from pictures it generated as identification You dont get feedback for help like before and whoever helped you knew what the plant was You dont have that with this new version For thatthe app function got worst It stated they dont have the means to pay someone to identify the plantsflowers and use their time for it anymore Original 1st Version 5 Stars Allows 20 uploads within a month to identify flowers in the garden and give information on pests and diseases You chose one of four PLANT ID PROBLEM ID ESSENTIALS NOTIFICATIONS I usually chose plantproblem id and take a picturechose from only one photo of the flower and type situation It then opens up your devices email as new email to check before sending the email I usually receive responses very quickly like within 23 hours Helped me identify flowers evening primrose periwinkle minor vinca and advice on rust on hollyhock Thanks Hope you guys continue this service I would be sad to hear it discontinue Such great serviceapp        Great at Identifying and Giving Suggestions

Ive used this app for over a year and had a great experience when I first tried it last winter When May came around the app changed from Garden Compass to what is now Garden Answers and went straight downhill after that When it was Garden Compass I would receive real answers in usually the same day with tips if I had a problem with a plant and suggestions on how to make the most of it Now submissions often go unanswered and this is the latest submission I received which came nearly two weeks after I sent in a photo Hello Should have done this in the spring time when new growth started Its going through transplant shock Hopefully the container has good drainage and you used a premium potting mix Dont over water it Just be patientwith it and see what happens There are no tips on how to fix my issue here just hindsight suggestions on what I should have done not what I can do This response is almost insulting to me as a grower Dont use this app the overwhelming negative reviews arent here because it works     Great idea that used to work now just garbage

I paid for this app Then they merged with another company and are charging 5 for every use Not cool extortion It used to be my favorite recommended to everyone Now I will never use this app again     Money hungry bad app

This is now once again an fantastic great app Now I can finally depend on the experts once again The features are awesome and a bigger help I thank you very much for this update that I didnt had to delete it                 GREAT

The app takes you through the whole process of describing the plant issue and attaching photos before telling you you dont have enough credits and throwing a weird error     Crap

UPDATE WHAT HAPPENED If everything keeps working this well Ill wish like crazy Id gotten started with it sooner Im so used to gardening apps taking too long to learn when theres other stuff to get done that I waited till winter to sit down with this This app would have saved me a LOT of time and hassle if only Id just gone ahead and tried it and discovered it was this good and this easy Ive been moaning about wanting a garden buddy to help me this app is SO it Talk about encouragement        Five star app sunk to two stars No communication

I used to love this app Would send in a picture of a plant and get a response back within the typical time or a little longer I always got to find out what plant I had planted in my yard that I didnt have any knowledge of or what plant I liked while out and about but didnt have a clue what it was But now the app wants me to pay for the same service Not just a nominal fee but for FIVE freakin bucks Guess my great plant app is gone     From great to horrible

Used to Love to use this app to identify plants before got quick answers that were spot on Now it is 499 for ONE answer Tried it just to see and got the response there are no experts in your area try again later Very disappointed The automated photo is system is good in theory but doesnt work     Used to be great now is very disappointing

Before the latest update they ALWAYS helped me identify my plants within 24 hours I loved this app Now that theyve redesigned it and you can upload your own pics it doesnt work Every time I select a photo of a plant it gives me an error of Unable to connect HTTP error 500 Super frustrating     Used to Be Good

I enjoy spending time outdoors I usually encounter plants Ive never seen or heard and Im not fond of finding out if the plant is hazardous especially the hard way So I searched the App Store in hopes for an app that can search for foreign plant species until I came across this app I know that there are apps that I can take pictures of the plant in question for quick identification but I usually end up finding many of those apps have negative reviews This app didnt have any reviews prior to this particular one so I decided to give this one a try The mechanics are fairly simple you can 1 identify an unknown plant species by using a photo from the photo album or taking one using the app or 2 search for the unknown plant species using keywords regarding the plants significant features I praise the picture identification method but unfortunately its not entirely a dream come true For the photo to be accurately analyzed you need to take a picture of the WHOLE PLANT not only the leaves or the flowers or fruit the whole thing This makes sense because for an accurate analysis of the unknown plant in question a sufficient photo must be submitted To achieve such a photo itll be somewhat difficult and time consuming and can be a real pain in the rear end to achieve perfection The keywords method isnt much of your pot of gold either As similar to the photo you must add specific details to the search bar I mean VERY specific details to find the plant in question Without any specific enough of details in the search bar you are guaranteed to receive unsatisfying results Despite its nottoterrible analysis flaws its a very solid app and Id recommend it to anybody who enjoys spending time outdoors Ive encountered no bugs so far and for a decent system this app has Id give it 3 out of 5 stars due to the difficulty of achieving accurate results           Its a Useful But Decent App

This app was wonderful before You would get quick thorough answers Now after you submit a picture you have to scroll through dozens dozens of pictures to see if you find what youre looking for If not pay 499 for expert advice I posted a pic of a succulent got about 50 pics of lilies Deleted     Used to be good

Before the update I was able to send in my information and despite the wait I always received an answer within the week I understood I needed to wait since they had many inquiries Now after the update I keep on getting on error message ERROR We requested an invalid product I dont know if now we are supposed to pay for the service or if this service is still free Either way please fixcorrect the app        Not my favorite app anymore

I used to use Garden Compass all the time to identify unknown plants I would get a quick reply from an expert within 24 hours and free of charge The latest update has several bugs which gave me error messages and now you have to pay for an expert answer or just guess from the picture options you receive for free The new app is horrible     New app is horrible

There is a beautiful plant in a neighbors garden that Ive been wanting to identify for a while Took a photo today came home Googled plant identifier this app came up I downloaded it followed the directions andvoilaI had the name of the plant                 Pretty neat app

I had the previous version of this and waited weeks for my 24 hour turnaround email on some plant Id questions I never got it but received an invite to download the new app Okay sothe new app has a computerized Id function which would be great if it worked but it could not get in the ball park of any plant I put in ballpark as in this is a succulent not an evergreen shrubnexcelt black eyed Susans which could not be more distinct It has no feedback options to help you narrow ie entering what you do know or even just giving feedback on how the search turned out I understand its hard for a computer to tell things like scale so I can almost understand how pride of Madeira could be mistaken for Rosemary almost but why not let people enter some more eliminating info Plus there is a general bias toward the most common thing which we should probably assume people are least likely to ask about Thanks but I know what rosemary and sage look like Then if you want more info it tries to sell you advice for 5 which all in all wouldnt be bad if it werent necessary for every single input        ID function is way off Sales gimmicky

I had deleted this app like four months ago when its was a wonderful app to identify your plants name The new version is so weird and you have to pay     now I cant identify my bromeliad
